If you think that classical ballet is all tutus and Tchaikovsky, think again!

ManchesterBoxOffice.co.uk have joined forces with ATG Tickets to bring our patrons a great discount code for the English National Ballets Performance of Kenneth MacMillan’s Manon.

English National Ballet is proud to tour Kenneth MacMillan’s masterpiece outside London for the second time only in over 30 years.

English National Ballet brings Kenneth MacMillan’s masterpiece to Manchester: a full-blooded ballet of love, luxury and passion.

As intense as Romeo & Juliet, this classic follows the story of Manon, a young woman torn between two lives: privilege and opulence with a wealthy gentleman, or innocent love with the penniless student she has fallen for. Wanting it all will be her downfall.

Aristocrats, courtesans and beggars fill the stage to take you from a gambling den in 18th century Paris to a desolate Louisiana swamp, and tell this dramatic story. A tragic romance to compete with any period drama, Manonis also full of magnificent choreography, and a sweeping score performed live by the English National Ballet Philharmonic.

From the orchestra striking up its first notes, to the final bows and cheers, watching English National Ballet in the beautiful space of the Manchester Opera House is an experience to treasure.

The young and naïve Manon is torn between two lives: privilege and opulence with the wealthy Monsieur GM, or innocent love with the penniless student Des Grieux. Wanting it all will be her downfall.

Aristocrats and beggars, courtesans and harlots fill the stage to take you from a gambling den in 18th-century Paris to a desolate Louisiana swamp, and share with you one of British ballet’s most dramatic stories.

Famous for its expressive choreography and acting demands, Manon features some of the most challenging roles in ballet. Let our Company sweep you up, to the haunting music of Julies Massenet performed live by English National Ballet Philharmonic.
